A dissertation is an academically developed and researched answer to a complex question or hypothesis, and it is a final academic and graduation requirement in partial fulfillment of EU Business School’s bachelor’s and MBA degrees. Bachelor students must submit a final dissertation of between 12,000 and 14,000 words after the completion of their coursework at EU Business School and defend it successfully before a Jury Panel.
It is a work of critical academic importance, since it reflects the knowledge that a student has accumulated over the course of the academic program. Additionally, it demonstrates the keen research and analytical skills of students; their specialisation; their ability to work independently; and their contribution to the body of existing knowledge.
Format of a Dissertation:
Font: Arial or Times New Roman
Text size: 12 pt. or 14 pt.
Layout: Align left (flush-left ragged-right). Do not justify text.
Line spacing 1.5 l
Hyphenation: Off (do not hyphenate)
Page numbers: Bottom right
References: You should follow the Harvard referencing style, where references must appear as in-text citations.
Language and spelling: You must write in complete sentences, using correct grammar, spelling, and formal writing conventions.
You are free to use either British or American English, but you must be consistent.  A spelling and grammar check can help you. Marks may be deducted if ‘red and/or green lines’ appear in the digital copy.
