As evidenced in class readings, advancements in the information and communications industry, or ICT, have allowed humans across the globe to communicate regularly, actively or passively.
As a result of these communication advancements, the importation and exportation of culture occurs instantaneously, whether someone logs into social media or plays a YouTube video.
In this 4-page paper, identify and discuss the importation of cultures to the United States in the context of Information Technology. Students may discuss firsthand experiences, though the paper needs to include real-world examples from credible sources. The first half of the paper needs to address the short-term and long-term impacts of cultural exchange on individuals, organizations, and communities. Please provide specific examples.
The second half of the paper should review how ICT goods and services are used to aid or discourage cross-cultural exchanges between the United States and other countries. Examples of goods and services can be found in the textbook and within the Canvas module entitled, “ICT basics.”
Utilizing the Word skills, reviewed in this module, write a four-page paper. This includes a cover page and a reference page. Include at least three (3) external references and in-text citations to support main thoughts and ideas.
Use the American Psychological Association (APA) style for writing and citing your assignment. Don’t forget to use the most recent version of APA formatting checklist.
Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using Word. Check your work and correct any spelling or grammatical errors.
