As the chapter makes clear, the attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 were a national tragedy and an historic event that shaped the nation and the world for years thereafter. September 11 is also one of those days that is etched in the memories of everyone who was alive at the time. As was the case with the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 or Kennedy’s assassination, Americans tend to remember where they were and what they were doing at the time the first heard the news. For almost everyone, this event is both historical and deeply personal.
For your reflection assignment, first explain what happened on 9/11.
Listen to President Bush’s speech to America and the world!  What is this speech about and what are Bush’s main points? Does he convey his points effectively? What kind of rhetoric does he use to convince his listeners?  How does President Bush reassure his public?
What are your thoughts on his speech (based on facts) and 9/11 now that over ten years have passed? Did he accomplish what he set out to do?  What have been the unintended consequences of his actions? In other words what are the lasting repercussions of our war on terror?
You need the usual three paragraphs to adequately cover the topic
