Using OER* sources, interpret as best you can the Man on the Mountain Metaphorical Story describing the process, elements, and methodologies of research (i.e. cases, research question, research field, theoretical background, quantitative and qualitative methodologies(jotting, measuring, dependent and independent variables, participant observation, counting, mapping), reporting (articles and journals), longitudinal research, interdisciplinary research. Note the connection of “water” as the theoretical stream leading from the mountain, to lakes, to rivers, to the ‘ocean of research’.
You created a list in class of several terms integral top research. Using th OER* to understand the terms, indicate elements of the story that “fit” the words.
And, in the end, create your own ending to the story and post it here.
