The identity reflection paper should be three to four pages in length (double spaced) and include four parts:
the creation of an identity web
brief but insightful explanation of the primary components and their role in forming your identity
reflection on how the concepts from chapter 15 in Ryan & Deci (2017) may apply
how your current identity components intersect to influence your perspectives and work in your given field.
To assist with the creation of an identity web, an example is provided in the graphic below. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list! You should consider any/all components that make you you. After all, the web should reflect the complexities of your identity. As you explain the components and their role in forming your identity(ies), you may include personal experiences, memories, or beliefs that provide insight.
