Examples include augmented reality glasses, adaptive medical technology, bendable tablets, smart thermostats, and many more.
Identify one specific niche technology and address the prompts below.
What is the niche technology you identified and how is this technology currently used? Your technology should be something relatively unknown or new. It should not be popular technology like a basic smartphone.
Explore the history of this technology and identify problems this niche technology is attempting to solve.
Explain how this technology is solving the problems identified above.
Define which type of consumer will benefit most from this niche technology.
Provide evidence to support, or argue against, this niche technology’s chances of success in the marketplace.
Investigate the future of this product. Will this niche device exist in 10 years and what functions will it perform?
