World’s Apart” Was a reality show which featured several episodes. In each episode an American family travels to a new culture and interacts with local life.
For this Term Project Paper:
1. Watch ONE of these episodes in full. There are several to choose from (links provided below)
2. Write a paper which gives first, a quick summary of the episode you observed and then explores class concepts you found at play in these intercultural encounters. Give the concept, a definition of the concept, and how the concept was applied in the lives of the people in these situations. For full points on this assignment you should pull out at least ten concepts from a variety of subjects covered throughout the term, fully and precisely define each, and provide clear application within the storyline. Show off your knowledge from the semester so I can see all you have learned.
Here are some specific specifications:
This paper should be between two and three pages single spaced.
This paper should be well written (college level), organized, and properly formatted.
This paper should clearly demonstrate that you watched the video in its entirety.
As a final, this paper is like a final exam in that I’m looking to determine your overall knowledge of class concepts, so show off what you know through clear use and application of concepts.
This paper CANNOT be turned in late due to it being near the end of the semester and your instructor needing time to grade all papers before grade submission deadlines.
